Hi There,
Rooted in the textile traditions of the Thar desert, Raali reflects a quiet dialogue between heritage and contemporary living. What began with vernacular quilting has evolved into a considered practice of preserving and reinterpreting Indian textile knowledge. We create with intention — shaping pieces designed to endure.
Born in Jodhpur and raised in Jaipur, Raali’s founder, Vibha Bishnoi, has long been drawn to fine arts, textiles and the quiet language of handwork. Years of engaging with embroidery, fabric, colour and form gradually shaped the vision for what would become Raali. The journey began with the traditional Raali, or gudari — a hand-quilted, layered mat deeply embedded in desert households. Often created by elder women and gifted to new mothers, the Raali embodies continuity, affection and resourcefulness, transforming worn fabrics into something enduring and meaningful. From this intimate starting point, the vision expanded to reinterpret vernacular quilting and regional textile practices for contemporary homes. What began as a personal inheritance has evolved into a broader exploration of Indian textile traditions — shaped through collaboration with skilled makers across the country and guided by respect for craft, material and memory.
Each Raali piece reflects skilled handwork and a deep respect for textile craft. Our collections bridge Indian textile traditions with contemporary living, creating objects that feel both rooted and refined. From handcrafted home textiles and composed tablescapes to heirloom nursery bedding and considered apparel, every piece is designed to integrate seamlessly into modern homes while honouring the integrity of its making.Raali stands for a quieter luxury — defined by process, precision and cultural continuity.
At Raali, design begins with material. We work with natural fibres and traditional textile techniques, allowing process and proportion to guide form. Each collection is developed with restraint — balancing cultural reference with contemporary clarity. We prioritise responsible sourcing, small-batch production and ethical manufacturing, ensuring that every piece reflects integrity in both making and meaning. Our approach values longevity over excess, precision over ornamentation, and relevance over trend. We believe well-made objects shape well-lived spaces — quietly, consciously and with lasting intent.

Originating from the local desert dialect of the Thar, the word 'Raali' refers to a hand-quilted mat made from layers of repurposed fabric. The Raali symbolises a lifestyle of upcycling, transforming pre-existing fabrics into cherished heirloom pieces passed down through generations. Inspired by this centuries-old mindset of repurposing, Raali aims to reinterpret the infinite horizons of the desert through evocative and emotive aesthetics.Raali was founded to preserve this unique vernacular craft. Recognizing the Raali as an heirloom piece passed from one generation to the next, we at Raali strive to make this special custom accessible to everyone.
